In addition to the manual SSL Certificate installation steps outlined below, all Webnames web hosting customers can take advantage of AutoInstall SSL within our Web Hosting packages. AutoInstall SSL allows for the configuration, validation, issuance and installation of SSL certificates in a few easy steps.
SSL Certificate Installation
This manual installation guide is divided into the following Steps and Sections:

| 2 | Certificate Configuration |
The following information is prepared and sent to the certificate vendor for validation:

| 3 | Validation | The certificate vendor validates the authenticity of your order as well as your ownership of the associated domain. Validation is performed differently for different types of certificates. Basic certificates are validated via email or DNS record, while more advanced certificates are validated via phone calls and business record verification. | You and the certificate vendor | Typically via email. |
| 4 | Issuance | Once validation is completed, the SSL certificate is delivered by the certificate vendor via email to you | You | Typically via email, but will also appear in the Issued section of the SSL Management page in your Webnames account, here. |
