At Webnames.ca, we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible products and services. We understand that there may be circumstances where you may need to seek a refund. Please read our refund policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions.

  1. Refunds on New Purchases

You may request a refund for products or services newly purchased from Webnames.ca within a certain number of days from the date of your initial purchase. Please refer to the following table:

* For Web Hosting Services which include a domain name registration or renewal, a portion of the fees paid by you, equal to the included domain name cost, is non-refundable.

  • To request a refund, please contact our customer support team.
  • Wherever possible, refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Refunds will be processed within five (5) business days from the date your request is approved.
  • Beyond the “New Purchase Refund Periods” noted in the above table, the Fees paid by you will be non-refundable and non-cancellable. 
  • This policy is in place to ensure the fair and consistent treatment of all customers.
  1. Refunds on Renewals

  • SSL certificate renewals may be cancelled and refunded within 30 days.
  • For all other products and services, we do not offer refunds for any reason.
  • This policy is in place to ensure the fair and consistent treatment of all customers.

 

  1. Refunds Policy applicable to TLD launch phases

  • Sunrise Participation Fees: If a domain application is successfully submitted as part of a Sunrise phase, the applicable Participation Fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the domain application. Even if the domain is available at the time of submission, a successful submission of an application does not guarantee that the Registrant’s application for the domain itself will be successful. In the case of a Sunrise launch phase, contending applications for a single domain name typically result in the domain name going to auction.
  • Early Access Program Fees: If a domain application is successfully submitted as part of an Early Access Program phase, the applicable Participation Fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the domain application. If the domain is not available at the time of submission (e.g. the domain was successfully registered by another party during a previous launch phase), the application will not be submitted, and no Participation Fee will be incurred.
  • Landrush Fees: If a domain application is successfully submitted as part of an Landrush phase, the applicable Participation Fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the domain application. If the domain is not available at the time of submission (e.g. the domain was successfully registered by another party during a previous launch phase), the application will not be submitted and no Landrush Fee will be incurred.
  1. Exchange Policy

We understand that there may be instances where you wish to exchange unused portions of our services. Please read our exchange policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions.

  1. Exchanges for Unused Portions

    1. Unused portions of some services may be exchanged for prorated credit back to your account. You may use these to purchase or renew future goods and services.
    2. Credits are valid for two (2) years and cannot be exchanged for cash.
    3. To request an exchange, please contact our customer support team.
